Food Grade Sodium Bicarbonate : Suitable for Food Preparations.
Sodium Bicarbonate is a key ingredient for bath bombs. It helps to soothe and soften the skin. When combined with bath water and citric acid, carbon dioxide is released creating fizzing bubbles.
Sodium Bicarbonate is a fine white powder form of sodium crystals with a slightly salty taste, reminiscent of it's close cousin sodium carbonate (also known as washing powder).
Sodium Bicarbonate is found naturally in mineral springs. It has medicinal properties, being use in the past as a relief from scalding / burns, and allergic reactions to a number of plants to relieve itching.
Synonyms: Baking soda, bicarbonate of soda or simply 'bicarb'.
